photographs are images created with lighting. "phos" was in greek and means "created by light".
a lot of elements are considered such as focus, lighting, contrast, what to be sharply seen, colours. the development of photography is assisted by the invention of new, exciting equipments from engineers, chemists.commerce also fuels the progress of it.the creation of good images relies upon the combination of technical possibilities and exploration of creativity.
digitization has made images edited and manipulated by computers.people uploaded them onto the internet.without visiting darkroom and lab, amateurs of photography can all produce photos simply by digital cameras.however many interests and discovery from exploring the opportunities offered by the experience of producing film-based photos are lost. a scanner converts the images into a form capable of being understood by computers.
'photography is a democratic medium--global,inexpensive,accessible'.photos can record memories for us.what could only be achieved by painting and drawing are mainly finished by photos.the instinction of human's desire for representing themselves has never paused.
photography is a universal language which people from every backgrounds interpret in their owen means. the same camera can be handled by different users, objectively recording an event or subjectively conveying personal sentimentals.
camera described as "ticket in".
            
           as well as granting you access to places and events that you might not otherwise be invited to witness,the camera gives you a licence to behave in a certain way-to talk to strangers,to control situations,to actively seek to get a different view and to ask for things in a way that you would never do without a camera around your neck.                                                                --Nick Knight

film-based photography
black and white photos are dependent on the chemical reaction:the silver's exposure to the light.
colourful photos:the mix of green,red and blue can produce all kinds of colors.three layers placed on top of each other,designed to record to information of three basic colors respectively.
digital photography
millions of pixels consist of images.pixel is short for "picture element".those pixels can be visible when an image in greatly enlarged.each single pixels are recorded as a number.
