Here are some quotes from Parr’s blog:
‘Now it
is almost impossible for me to shoot a photo where someone is NOT taking a
picture or posing for one.’
‘so I am
under the impression that no one is really paying attention to the splendours
and beauties of the site, as the urge to photograph is so overwhelming. The
photographic record of the visit has almost destroyed the very notion of
actually looking.’
From the quotes we can imply camera is an equipment for Parr to critisize some phenomena in society.
the composition in the picture is ruining the whole aethestic feeling. but this is mostly like what we will upload onto facebook these days. it indirectly shows the human desire to express their presence in a travelling site.

photoanalysis.
here the cover photo of the book" small world" is presented. the book is available in the sussex library.
in combination with my own practical experience i find what Parr did professional is the way he shows the phenomenon of photographing can not be well justified. in other words, how did he manage to show us the unacceptance of their act of photographing. the numerous visitors within one shot all holding cameras. their attention on cameras.
the time when you enter a toliet with two mirrors facing each other.
the inclusion of the person taking pictures. it shows the repeating act, its endlessness.
slide eight:
there is no creativity for the interpretation of the sites. its meaning. since they pose samely.
